Myles Turner is one of the top defenders in the paint this season, leading the league in blocks. The Indiana Pacers’ big is preparing to face Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.

Turner issued a warning to the Sixers dominant big, who is in the conversation for the MVP award so far. Turner is having as strong season under first year head coach Nate Bjorkgren.

“If I am who I think I am, I’m going to step up to the challenge,” he said, via J. Michael of the IndyStar. Turner registers impressive numbers this season putting up 14.4 along with six rebounds, four blocks and one steal per contest.

On the other hand, Embiid has been the most dominant efficient self so far this year, posting averages of 28.3 points and 11.1 rebounds this season.

The Sixers are leading the East with a 14-6 record, thanks to Embiid’s dominant play. Turner will have to be at his best to stop the All-Star center of the Philadelphia 76ers.
