The Philadelphia 76ers have no intention to trade Joel Embiid or Ben Simmons for James Harden.

Even though Harden has added the 76ers to the list of the teams he wants to join, Philadelphia does not seem willing to acquire him in exchange for Embiid or Simmons.

“The 76ers want to view their two young All-Stars, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, under new head coach Doc Rivers — who has raved about both players and has privately made clear he wants the opportunity to have elevated success with both Simmons and Embiid.

In theory, however, Houston could wait out the potential availability of Simmons should Philadelphia get off to a slow start,” Shams Charania of The Athletic reports, via Sixers Wire.

The Sixers believe Embiid and Simmons can elevate their game under head coach Doc Rivers and help the team enter the title race.
