James Harden has arrived in Houston and tested for COVID-19 in accordance with the NBA’s protocol today, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Harden took his test at the Houston Rockets’ Toyota Center.

This is the first step in being cleared to join the team for group workouts.

“That’s pretty much all I know,” head coach Stephen Silas said, confirming that Harden got tested.

Silas also spoke about his relationship (or lack thereof) with Harden.

“Trust is built day to day, and once the relationship begins, we’ll begin that process of trust,” he said. “Obviously there wasn’t a great start to it, but that’s the NBA. The NBA is not going to be roses every day.”

It’s a step in the right direction that Harden has finally arrived, but it still doesn’t mean that the issues between him and the Rockets are gone or that he’s even a lock to stay with the team.
