Wesley Matthews of the Los Angeles Lakers spoke to the media about getting ready for the season with his new team and what the goals are for him and the team.
The 34-year-old guard also noted the togetherness of the Lakers players that he felt from day one.
“It’s not hard to sacrifice when it’s something bigger than you. For this organization, it’s repeating. For myself, it’s getting my first one. Being the last team standing and doing it together,” Matthews said per Ryan Ward.
According to Matthews, the togetherness is what draws to the Lakers: “That’s what I took away from this first day. Even before this first day even started that was the feeling. That was the draw of this organization. It’s bigger than anybody else.”
