Paul George opened up about his relationship with his former head coach in the Los Angeles Clippers Doc Rivers.
George said he has a lot of respect for Rivers, but did not agree with everything the Clippers did last season under Rivers.
“I respect Doc, he’s a hell of a motivator, coach. Doesnt mean I agree with everything that we did. You heard it from me, from Mook. We felt we were the better team, but they played harder than us. I said what I said.
I wanted to clear the air on that. I respect Doc Rivers and he’s a hell of a motivator. The notion that I’m putting the blame on Doc is not the case… I’m the one who gave up the 3-1 lead being on the floor,” George told reporters, via Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.
A few days go, during his appearance on All The Smoke podcast, George said last season was hard for him, because Rivers used him in a way he could not be 100% effective.
