The Phoenix Suns made one of the best offseason acquisitions, as they traded for Chris Paul. Phoenix brought the veteran superstar to help the young Suns establish a winning identity.

General manager James Jones opened up about the goals of the franchise in the pre-training camp press conference, claiming that they want to win a title.

(via Arizona Central):

“The goal is never to just win games, the goal is to win a title, and in order to do that you have to win your division at some point, you have to win in the playoffs. The fans, their expectations for us to win the title. That’s the only way I know how to play, that’s the only way I played. We don’t come in here to just win games.”

The Suns are entering the season with a new-found belief in themselves, after impressive performances in the season restart.

With Paul and the rest of the veteran pieces they brought in the offseason, the Suns have the right to believe that they are ready to at least return to the postseason.
