According to Shams Charania, the defending NBA champions Los Angeles Lakers agreed to an undrafted free agent Zavier Simpson, who joined the German Bundesliga team Science City Jena this past September.
The 23-yer-old point guard spent four years with the Michigan Wolverines prior to signing a deal in Europe. Simpson’s last season in Michigan was the best for him individually as he averaged 12.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.9 assists per game.
During this year’s NBA Draft the Lakers picked Jaden McDaniels at 28th overall and traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
