Khimki Moscow had only eight players active and not enough firepower to face Baskonia. As a result, Dusko Ivanovic’s squad blew past (77-60) the Russian club to claim its third win in the EuroLeague.
Baskonia had four players in double digits with Achille Polonara (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Rokas Giendraitis (20 points, 5/9 shooting, 8/9 free throws) combining for 40 points for the winning side.
The Basques made an impressive run in the second half to secure an easy victory over Khimki, as they outscored them 42-24 in the second half.
Khimki, which dropped to 0-4, saw Vyacheslav Zaytsev scoring a team-high 17 points along with six rebounds and eight assists, followed by Devin Booker, who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
However, Baskonia was capable of remaining in front for most of the game claiming their third win to improve to 3-1 in the regular season.
