Zalgiris Kaunas had an impressive shooting night in EuroLeague Round 4 matchup against Anadolu Efes, as they blew past their opponents with an 89-73 beating.

Zalgiris started hot, taking a nine-point lead in the first quarter (25-16). The Lithuanians became more aggressive in the second half, earning a 19-point lead (82-63) to cruise past Efes, with 5:44 remaining for the end of regulation.

For the home team, Nigel Hayes had a team-high 17 points, recording three out of the Zalgiris’ 10 made threes. Lukas Lekavicius added 12 points and five assists, while Joffrey Lauvergne had 10 points along with eight rebounds.

Martin Schiller’s squad made 52.6 percent of its threes shooting 69.2 percent from the field. On the other hand, Efes were outplayed by the home team in the second half and never got close to win the game.

Despite limited attendance due to coronavirus restrictions, the home crowd consisting of 5,011 fans provided that extra push for Zalgiris, that remained perfect in the competition with its fourth consecutive win.

Bryan Dunston had a game-high 20 points for Efes, which dropped to 1-3.
