Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to be an unrestricted free agent the next offseason. Already, several analysts are referring to the occasion and how it could affect other players’ choices.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst implied the Miami Heat could have, under the right circumstances, the flexibility to offer a huge contract to Giannis Antetokounmpo next summer.
In particular, Windhorst referred to Bam Adebayo’s situation, who has the same agent as the Milwaukee Bucks’ superstar and will be eligible for a contract extension for the next few months.
Adebayo could push back his decision on signing the rookie scale extension, in order for the Miami Heat to get a chance to sign Giannis.
After his incredible season, Bam Adebayo proved he is a max-caliber player helping the Miami Heat reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014.
However, if the Miami Heat could add the two-time MVP, they certainly would create the next NBA dynasty in the Eastern Conference.
