The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is getting ready to face his former team, the Miami Heat, in the NBA Finals. LeBron spent four years in Miami during which he won two championships under coach Erik Spoelstra.

Despite his history with the Heat, James says he feels no extra motivation to beat his former team in the Finals.

“Absolutely not, there’s no extra meaning to winning a championship no matter who you’re playing against,” LeBron said. “It’s already hard enough to even reach the Finals, to be in this position. If you’re able to become victorious out of the Finals, it doesn’t matter who it’s against.

“I’m just happy I’m here. with opportunity to represent not only myself but to represent our fans, our fanbase, our organization, my teammates, our coaching staff, our training staff and so many others that represent this organization to the utmost respect.”
