Alex Caruso had a good game individually as he racked up 16 points in the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Houston Rockets in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Lakers’ superstar LeBron James praised Caruso post game, saying the team knows they can count on him. But, one of the tasks for him was to guard Houston’s superstars.

Caruso was asked about defending James Harden, who was limited to just 21 points, which is low by his standards.

“It’s kind of the same thing we tried doing against Dame Lillard. They just throw more pick’n’rolls with Portland and use a lot more isolation. Just try to take the ball out of his hands and try to make life difficult for him,” the Lakers guard said.

“When he’s comfortable, when these great players are comfortable — like you’ve seen AD go for 40 and 20, you’ve seen Bron go for 50, 40, like, if you don’t make them uncomfortable, you’re at their will.

“James Harden, Russell Westbrook, even Eric Gordon to a lesser extent, are good enough players to win ball games and win series if you don’t stop them.”
