The Denver Nuggets tied the Western Conference semifinals series against the Los Angeles Clippers by winning Game 2 110-101. The Clippers were down by 19 points after the first quarter but managed to narrow the gap to just 5.

After the game, Paul George spoke about the reasons why Los Angeles ended up losing. He pointed at the inability to score in the first quarter which was won by Denver 44-25. George was the top scorer for the Clippers with 22 points.

“I don’t think it was hard. I think we missed some shots. We just couldn’t find the basket in the first quarter. That was really the game. Us not playing defense and allowing them rhythm and shots in the first quarter,” PG said, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.
