James Harden had high praise for Russell Westbrook, after the Houston Rockets’ blowout win in Game 5 of the series against OKC.
The “Beard” talked on the impact that Westbrook has on the Rockets’ squad describing him as the leader of the team, after the Rockets’ impressive victory.
Westbrook made his playoff debut with the Rockets on Saturday, while Harden had an incredible game scoring 31 points in just 28 minutes.
“Extraordinary, we know what he brings to the table, he brought that energy, he brought that excitement that we were missing and we just need him.
Obviously, he is our leader and we all know what he does for the game of basketball, for our team, so it was exciting to have him out there,” Harden Said, via James Jackson of The Oklahoman.
The Rockets can close out the first-round series vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday in Game 6 having a 3-2 lead.
