Portland Trail Blazers lost to the Utah Jazz after a controversial no-call of goaltending against Rudy Gobert. Carmelo Anthony and Damian Lillard were furious with the referees.

The controversy extended to Twitter as Lillard reacted to Donovan Mitchell’s comments to the media. Mitchell said the following:

“I don’t see why a guy like Gary Trent should come in and think he can just punk us. … We’re not a team that you can come in and just talk trash to. We’re not just gonna back down. … That’s what we kinda lacked the past few games — just toughness.”

After seeing Mitchell’s comments, Lillard responded with “Man stop…”:

To which Mitchell responded: “I said what I said…”.
