Anthony Davis scored 39 points (on 12-21 shooting), grabbed nine rebounds, dished out two assists, tallied two steals, and blocked three shots in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 136-113 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night at Moda Center. The Lakers improved to 20-3. After the game, Anthony talked on the team pulling out three road wins:

“We feel like we can win anywhere. We feel like we’re a good road team. Obviously on the road you have to come together even more. (These were) three tough environments to win in, and we were able to come in and take all three. But we have our mind set on something special. And we know in order to reach that goal, we have to stay in the moment and go game-by-game. We take every game personal. We want to go out there and be the best team we can be.

We want to win in hustle points. We want to win in rebounding. All the little things. If we continue to do that we’ll be fine. We’ve given ourselves a challenge of, we call it ‘the Avery challenge.’

Since Avery (Bradley) went out our defense has taken a hit a little bit. The last three games… We’ve been able to be the No. 1 team in defensive rating. And we want to get that every time. We lay our hats on defense knowing that it’s going to fuel our offense,” Davis said, per Silver Screen and Roll.
