Viktor’s Khryapa participation in Eurobasket is on thin ice after FIBA refused to insure the player for the tournament.
According to CSKA president Andrey Vatutin the insurance carrier of FIBA is refusing to insure the player after the injury problems which the player faced last year.
In fact the insurance company has yet to pay CSKA for the player’s injury last season, which occurred during the World Championship in Turkey.
“I am sure the Russian Basketball Federation will do everything in its power to resolve the player’s insurance case.” said Vatutin.
According to the player himself he will join the team’s training camp on August 1.
