Italian forward Nicolo Melli officially signed a contract with the New Orleans Pelicans and will team up with the number one pick Zion Williamson. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Melli left Europe for the NBA after two years with Fenerbahce during which he reached two EuroLeague Final Fours, won Turkish League in 2018 and Turkey Cup in 2019.
Last season the 28-year-old averaged 7.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in EuroLeague.
