Center Nikola Jokic scored 36 points (11-25 FG), grabbed nine rebounds and handed out 10 assists in the Denver Nuggets’ 121-112 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.

Denver fans chanted “MVP” when Jokic stepped to the free-throw line.

“I think it’s funny to be honest. I think there is a better player than me that is going to win MVP. I was just trying to play good team basketball, that’s all I’m trying to do,” Jokic said after the game.

The Denver Nuggets are first in the Northwest Division, with a 42-18 record.
