CSKA Moscow rule at the top of the EuroLeague table after Olympiacos’ slip-up this week and Barcelona were able to end 2017 on a high note following a recent run of poor results.

The Muscovites were made to work hard for their 90-81 road win against Baskonia but with the victory, CSKA are alone at the EuroLeague summit.

Sergio Rodriguez had 25 points and eight assists as CSKA held Baskonia to just nine points in the final quarter to seal the win.

After a run of five straight losses, Barcelona were able to get back to winning ways as they put former coach Georgios Bartzokas to the sword by beating Khimki 79-65.

Victor Claver and Kevin Seraphin had 12 points each to lift Barca’s record to 5-10.

Another team that saw their losing streak come to a much needed halt was Anadolu Efes as they gained their first win in four with a deserved 69-58 win over Brose Bamberg.

Derrick Brown tallied 21 points for the winners.

Crvena Zvezda grabbed its third road win of the season by edging Olimpia Milan 91-88.

James Feldeine led Zvezda with 19 points.
