LaMelo Ball has received a $35,000 fine and a Flagrant Foul 2 after a league office review determined he made unnecessary and reckless contact with Miami Heat center-forward Bam Adebayo, creating a high risk of injury.

The play happened with 11:13 left in the second quarter during the Charlotte Hornets’ 127-126 overtime victory over the Heat on April 14 in the NBA Play-In Tournament.

Ball was also fined an extra $25,000 for using inappropriate language in a live postgame television interview.

Ball will not face suspension for Friday’s Play-In matchup.
