The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently treating Anthony Edwards as a day-to-day case due to inflammation in his right knee, as reported by Shams Charania of ESPN.
“The Timberwolves will be evaluating Anthony Edwards day-to-day moving forward,” said Charania.
Edwards has already sat out five straight games because of the issue, but there’s a possibility he could make his return as soon as Saturday against the Pistons or Monday when they face the Mavericks.
“What he’s been dealing with, from my understanding, is soreness, some fluids, some inflammation in his knee. He needed treatment to get some of the fluid out of that knee but now he is progressing, he is starting to do more and more on the court,” added Charania.
Despite his absence, Minnesota has managed to go 10-5 without him this season, including a 110-108 overtime victory over the Rockets on Wednesday night.
At the moment, the Timberwolves sit in fifth place in the Western Conference with a 45-28 record.
