Phoenix received encouraging news on Devin Booker’s recovery, as the All-Star guard participated in 5-on-5 drills during Sunday’s practice, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

Booker has missed the team’s last four games while dealing with a right hip strain but is trending in the right direction.

“He knows his body better than anyone,” head coach Jordan Ott said. “He’s been through these processes. Incredible recovery. So, he knows how he’s supposed to feel. How he’s supposed to feel when he plays.”

Ott also addressed the status of backup guard Jordan Goodwin, who is sidelined with a left calf strain and will be reevaluated in about a week.

“He’s just now ramping up,” Ott said. “He is on the court. He was on the court today. Book is further along than Goodie, but he is starting to progress onto the court.”

Booker has played 11 seasons for the Suns. He has averaged 24.5 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in 717 regular-season games. He was selected to play in 4 All-Star games.
