The Memphis Grizzlies provided medical updates regarding two members of their frontcourt, announcing that both center Zach Edey and forward Brandon Clarke will remain sidelined.

Edey is scheduled to undergo another surgery on his left ankle. The 7-foot-3 center initially had surgery on June 10, which caused him to miss the opening weeks of the season.

He later returned and appeared in 11 games between mid-November and early December, but recurring ankle pain forced him back out of action, and he has not played since.

The team said a timetable for his return to basketball activities will be determined following the upcoming procedure.

Clarke, meanwhile, has been out since late December with a right calf strain. Memphis announced he will miss at least two additional weeks as he continues rehabilitation.

Injuries have limited Clarke to just two appearances this season.
