Paris Basketball overcame FC Barcelona 85-74 at Palau Blaugrana on Thursday, fueled by a 28-12 third-quarter surge that erased a 43-39 halftime deficit. The victory improved the French side to 9-18 while Barcelona fell to 17-11.
Nadir Hifi led the way with 21 points and earned player-of-the-game honors. Justin Robinson contributed 18 points, and Lamar Stevens added 15, forming a balanced scoring attack. Paris limited Barcelona to just 5-of-32 from three-point range, exploiting the home side’s shooting woes to control the contest.
The first half featured multiple lead changes, with Barcelona holding a late second-quarter 42-34 advantage before Paris mounted a decisive run. The visitors scored 33 points in the third while restricting the hosts to 13, taking a 67-55 lead entering the final quarter.
Despite a late 9-0 Barcelona run, Paris maintained composure and secured the win with smart offensive execution and disciplined defensive rotations. The victory marked Paris’ second triumph over Spanish giants in recent weeks after beating Real Madrid 98-92 on January 28.
Barcelona struggled with absences in the backcourt, including Kevin Punter and Tomas Satoransky, while Jan Vesely left in the third quarter with a back injury.
Paris pulled down 33 rebounds and recorded 11 assists, highlighting efficiency in both halves.
Dario Brizuela led Barcelona with 15 points, Toko Shengelia and Nicolas Laprovittola added 11 each.
The French club will next visit Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens on February 26, while Barcelona travels to Virtus Bologna on February 25.
