The Utah Jazz travel to FedExForum to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, December 12, at 8:00 PM ET. Utah comes in with an 8-15 record and a two-game losing streak, while Memphis is 11-13 with a two-game winning streak.

Utah will be without Walker Kessler (left shoulder), Georges Niang (left foot), Elijah Harkless, Taylor Hendricks, John Tonje, Oscar Tshiebwe, and Cody Williams, all unavailable due to injuries or G League assignments.

Memphis faces multiple absences as well, with Brandon Clarke (right knee) and Zach Edey (left ankle) out, Ty Jerome (right calf) sidelined, and John Konchar (left thumb) unavailable. Ja Morant is questionable with a right calf strain, while Jahmai Mashack and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are listed as questionable due to G League assignments. Javon Small (left toe) and Scotty Pippen Jr. (left great toe) remain out.

Utah will depend on Lauri Markkanen, who leads the team with 27.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, and Keyonte George, contributing 22.2 points and 6.7 assists. Svi Mykhailiuk and Jusuf Nurkic provide secondary scoring and frontcourt stability.

Memphis relies on Jaren Jackson Jr., who averages 17.0 points and 5.0 rebounds, and Morant, posting 17.9 points and 7.6 assists when available. Cedric Coward and Jaylen Wells offer perimeter scoring, while Edey’s absence could shift minutes to Jock Landale and Cam Spencer in the paint.

This is the first matchup of the season between the two teams.
