The Brooklyn Nets are making roster adjustments before training camp. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the team has waived forward Tosan Evbuomwan after one season in Brooklyn.

Evbuomwan, 23, played 28 games for the Nets last year, averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 23.8 minutes per contest. He became a reliable contributor off the bench, providing energy and versatility in the frontcourt.

Despite his production, Brooklyn’s roster overhaul this summer left limited space for developmental players. The Nets selected five prospects in the 2025 NBA Draft, including first-rounders Egor Demin, Nolan Traoré, Ben Saraf, and Danny Wolf, crowding the depth chart.

Evbuomwan’s journey to Brooklyn included short stints with Memphis and Detroit in 2023–24. He started eight games with the Pistons, averaging 7.0 points in 22.5 minutes, before finishing the season with the Nets.

His skill set as a versatile forward was evident in his ability to defend multiple positions and make plays off the dribble. However, the front office prioritized long-term roster flexibility as it builds around a young core that includes Demin, Saraf, and Noah Clowney.
