The Philadelphia 76ers have signed free agent forward Jabari Walker to a two-way contract, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

Walker, 22, joins Philadelphia after spending three seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, where he appeared in 188 games and made 24 starts.

The former second-round pick averaged 6.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in his time with Portland. Last season, he played 60 games while shooting a career-best 51.5% from the field and 38.9% from three-point range.

Philadelphia’s decision to sign Walker on a two-way contract gives them flexibility to develop the 6-foot-9 forward while keeping an open roster spot. Under NBA rules, two-way players can split time between the NBA and G League while remaining eligible for up to 50 regular-season games.

Walker’s most productive year came in 2023-24, when he started 23 games for the Trail Blazers and averaged 8.9 points and 7.1 rebounds in over 23 minutes per contest.

Walker’s two-way deal ensures he will also see time with the Delaware Blue Coats, Philadelphia’s G League affiliate, where he can further refine his game and stay ready for NBA minutes.
