The Chicago Bulls currently hold the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference, and center Nikola Vucevic, whose contract expires after next season and who is a prime trade candidate this offseason, is staying fully committed to the team’s postseason push.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Vucevic emphasized his focus on helping the Bulls secure a playoff spot.

“I’m totally focused on being here and trying to help the team make this push,” Vucevic told Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times.

“Regardless of what’s going on, I try to stay professional. I want to be a teammate that brings it every day, works hard. You don’t want to be the guy where everybody is locked in, and you’re not doing what you’re supposed to be doing. Totally locked in. Trying to find my rhythm with the [calf] injury. I think if we get healthy, we have a shot, and we’ll see where that takes us.”

Vucevic has played 14 seasons for the Magic, Bulls, and 76ers. He has averaged 17.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 959 regular-season games.
