The Atlanta Hawks have decided to waive guard Bones Hyland, just days after acquiring him in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes.

Hyland, along with Terance Mann, was traded to the Hawks in exchange for guard Bogdan Bogdanović and three second-round draft picks at the trade deadline. However, the 24-year-old guard’s tenure in Atlanta will be short-lived.

Hyland had appeared in 20 games for the Clippers this season, averaging 7.2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in just over 11 minutes per game.

This decision comes amid ongoing struggles for Atlanta, which currently sits at 9th in the Eastern Conference with a 24-28 record. The guard’s future remains uncertain as he is now a free agent.
