LaMelo Ball exited the Charlotte Hornets’ 112-107 defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers during the second quarter due to an injury to his left ankle.

The incident occurred when Ball accidentally stepped on Jarred Vanderbilt’s foot while retreating down the court, causing him to awkwardly twist the ankle. Following the mishap, Ball did not return to the game, leaving fans and teammates concerned.

Head coach Charles Lee provided no new information regarding Ball’s condition when speaking to reporters post-game, keeping the point guard’s recovery timeline uncertain.

Notably, Ball has been using ankle braces throughout this season as a preventive measure, likely stemming from his previous injury history.
