The NBA has revealed that Sunday’s victory secured notable recognition for the Oklahoma City Thunder coaching staff.

Head coach Mark Daigneault has earned the opportunity to coach one of the four teams in the All-Star Game, a prestigious honor.

Additionally, one of the Thunder’s assistant coaches will also take the reins of another team during the event.

This year’s All-Star Game will feature an exciting new format. The typical two-conference structure is being replaced with a fresh approach.

Instead of two teams representing the Eastern and Western Conferences, their 12-player rosters will each be divided into three smaller squads, consisting of eight players each.

A fourth team will join the mix, made up of players from the winning side of the Rising Stars Challenge, further adding to the unique dynamic.

As part of this format, the coaching roles for the other two teams have also been determined.

They will be filled by the head coach and an assistant coach from the Eastern Conference team that holds the best record leading up to the event.

Rather than the traditional single All-Star Game, this year’s event will culminate in a mini-tournament featuring all four teams, introducing a competitive and innovative twist to the weekend’s festivities.
