Anthony Randolph has officially announced his retirement from professional basketball, closing the chapter on a successful 15-year career that spanned both the NBA and international leagues.
Randolph, a 6-foot-11 forward known for his versatility and skill, most recently played for Real Madrid in Spain.
The Golden State Warriors selected Randolph with the 14th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Over six seasons in the NBA, he suited up for the Warriors, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Denver Nuggets, showcasing flashes of brilliance and dynamic playmaking.
In 2014, Randolph transitioned to playing overseas, joining Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia. After two productive seasons there, he signed with Real Madrid in 2016.
During his time in Europe, Randolph achieved considerable success, winning two EuroLeague titles and three Liga ACB championships, cementing his legacy as a key contributor on the international stage.
In 2017, Randolph became a naturalized Slovenian citizen, a decision that allowed him to represent Slovenia in international competitions.
That same year, he played a pivotal role in helping the Slovenian national team capture gold at the 2017 EuroBasket tournament.
