The Detroit Pistons (1-4) secured their first win of the season, defeating the Philadelphia 76ers (1-3) 105-95 on Wednesday night and ending an eight-game losing streak against the 76ers.

Tobias Harris, who joined Detroit as a free agent after six seasons in Philadelphia, recorded a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds in his return to Wells Fargo Center.

Jaden Ivey led the Pistons in scoring with 23 points, while Cade Cunningham contributed 22 points and seven assists to fuel Detroit’s strong offensive display.

The Pistons’ 15-5 run early in the fourth quarter countered a 76ers comeback attempt, establishing a 20-point lead and effectively sealing the game.

Philadelphia, playing without All-Star Joel Embiid and new acquisition Paul George due to knee injuries, struggled to contain Detroit’s efficient ball movement and depth.

Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia’s standout in Embiid’s absence, scored a game-high 32 points on 12-of-25 shooting but lacked consistent support to narrow the deficit.

Kelly Oubre Jr. and Jared McCain combined for 25 points off the bench, but the 76ers’ offense faltered, finishing with only 95 points on 42.7% shooting.

Detroit outpaced Philadelphia on the boards, pulling down 49 rebounds to the 76ers’ 37, led by Isaiah Stewart’s 11 boards and three blocks in a strong defensive showing.

The Pistons also notched 15 assists, as Tim Hardaway Jr. and Malik Beasley added to the team’s ball movement and perimeter shooting.
