Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points, and Jarrett Allen contributed a perfect 10-for-10 shooting night to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a decisive 135-116 victory over the Washington Wizards. Cleveland’s strong performance helped the team maintain its undefeated season start, now at 3-0.

Darius Garland and Allen each posted 23 points, while Evan Mobley added a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. The Cavaliers’ efficient shooting night, hitting 54% of their shots, marked their ninth consecutive win over Washington.

After securing a win against Detroit the previous night, the Cavaliers entered the game against Washington with momentum and confidence. Mitchell’s scoring and Allen’s efficiency were instrumental in fending off the Wizards’ attempts to close the gap.

The Cavaliers opened up a substantial lead in the first half, but Washington briefly narrowed the deficit with a strong third-quarter response. Cleveland answered with a decisive 12-0 run led by Mitchell, expanding their advantage to a comfortable margin the Wizards couldn’t overcome.

Washington’s Bilal Coulibaly scored a career-high 23 points, with Kyle Kuzma adding 14 points and eight rebounds. The Wizards’ offensive efforts couldn’t match Cleveland’s consistency, as they recorded their second straight loss, following an opening-season defeat to Boston.

The Cavaliers’ dominance was bolstered by Garland’s all-around play and Allen’s presence in the paint. Garland’s contributions as both a playmaker and scorer further strengthened Cleveland’s offensive control throughout the game.

Cleveland’s defense capitalized on Washington’s shooting struggles and turnovers, while the Cavaliers’ bench added a collective 41 points. Ty Jerome’s 14 points off the bench were crucial, as was Caris LeVert’s defensive presence, recording two blocks.
