Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball is finally approaching the conclusion of his lengthy and challenging recovery from injury, with his return to the court now within sight.

After being sidelined for more than two seasons, Ball has been fully engaged in the Bulls’ training camp, participating in practices and gradually working his way back into game shape.

His perseverance through this extended rehabilitation process appears to be paying off, as Ball is expected to suit up for two of Chicago’s remaining three preseason games in the next week.

Ball’s last NBA appearance was on January 14, 2022, and since then, he has undergone several surgeries on his knee, keeping him off the court for the entirety of the past two seasons.

The road to recovery has been anything but smooth, but the veteran point guard now seems to be turning a corner in his rehab journey.

Speaking about his progress, Ball expressed optimism, sharing that his knee is “feeling good” and that he “feels better than he has in a long time.”

This positive outlook comes as a relief to both Ball and the Bulls, who have been closely monitoring his progress.

The team has been encouraged not only by his play during practices but also by the fact that his knee has shown no major setbacks during the rigors of training camp.

As Ball prepares to take the next step by returning to preseason action, both he and the Bulls are hopeful that this marks the final stage of his recovery, bringing him back to the high level of play he was known for before his injury.

His return could be a significant boost for the team as they look to integrate his skills into their system moving forward into the regular season.
