Wendell Carter Jr. agrees to extension with Magic

Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. has secured his future with the team. He has agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $59 million, per NBA insider Shams Charania.

This new deal will keep Carter with the Magic through the 2028-29 season. His total contract value now amounts to $82 million, reflecting the team’s confidence in his abilities.

Carter, 25, previously signed a four-year contract valued at $50 million. He joined the Magic ahead in the 2020-21 season and has been an integral part of the team since then.

Last season, Carter averaged 11 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists over 25.6 minutes per game.
