Brooklyn Nets point guard Ben Simmons has been cleared to participate fully in the team’s training camp.
After recovering from a back procedure, Simmons will enter the upcoming season with no restrictions.
His agent, Bernie Lee, confirmed that Simmons is healthy and eager to get back on the court.
“Ben is fully cleared and is a full participant for the start of camp. He is excited to get started,” Lee told NBA insider Chris Haynes.
Simmons missed the majority of the 2023-24 season due to a nerve impingement in his lower back.
After undergoing a microscopic partial discectomy in March, the 28-year-old is now ready to return to basketball.
Simmons made his season debut last January, recording 10 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds in a win over the Utah Jazz.
However, he only appeared in 15 games last season, averaging 6.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in 23.9 minutes per game.
His injury forced him to miss the final stretch of the season, and he spent months in rehabilitation.
