The Los Angeles Clippers will receive $750K to host their training camp and an exhibition game in Honolulu, according to a report by Duane Shimogawa of Island News.
Public records reveal that the Hawaiian Tourism Authority has partnered with the Clippers, gaining several marketing opportunities in return.
As part of the agreement, the Authority will be named an Official Partner of the L.A. Clippers, further promoting tourism in Hawaii through its association with the NBA team.
In addition to the basketball activities, the Clippers will engage with the local community by holding various events during their stay.
The training camp kicks off on October 1 and culminates with an exhibition game against the Golden State Warriors on October 5, offering fans in Hawaii a rare opportunity to witness NBA action up close.
This collaboration also emphasizes the Clippers’ ongoing efforts to expand their brand internationally while giving back to the communities they visit.
