Elevating Rui Hachimura to a permanent starting role has proven highly beneficial for the Lakers, creating an environment for the fifth-year forward to excel, according to Khobi Price of The Southern California News Group.

Since Hachimura rejoined the starting lineup on February 3, the Lakers have achieved a 16-7 record, while the 26-year-old has maintained an average of 15.7 points per game with impressive shooting percentages.

Head coach Darvin Ham highlighted that playing alongside other offensive threats has afforded Hachimura more space to showcase his skills.

Ham noted, “Him coming off the bench, there were times where they treated him like (LeBron James). They know how he can definitely score at all three levels. He draws a lot of attention without having those guys on the floor.”
