In a hard-fought battle against the Orlando Magic, Andrew Wiggins led the Golden State Warriors to a crucial 101-93 victory despite the early ejection of Draymond Green.

While Stephen Curry struggled with his shooting, Wiggins’ standout performance, coupled with crucial baskets from Curry in the closing minutes, propelled the Warriors to a pivotal win, keeping their playoff hopes alive.

Facing adversity without Green’s defensive prowess and Jonathan Kuminga’s absence, the Warriors rallied together.

When Green was ejected, Curry was caught by cameras getting emotional and tears gathering in his eyes.

“All I say we need him. He knows that. We all know that. So whatever it takes to keep him on the floor, it’ll be available. That’s what got to happen, especially at this point in the year,” Curry said when asked about his thoughts when Green got ejected.

“A tough way to start the game, but I am extremely proud of every single person that stepped on the floor tonight and responded the way they did because back-to-back the team is physical as they are we got contributions from everybody and it was a beautiful team effort to respond the way that we did and this win because we went and took it and that’s a big sign for us, a sign of growth to be able to respond that way.”

Reflecting on his emotional response, Curry reiterated the significance of each game at this stage of the season.

“We know how important this part of the season is and our ability to get into a rhythm and secure a play-in opportunity and give ourselves a shot. We don’t want to have self-inflicted wounds when it comes to that,” the four-time NBA champion said.

“We all care, we all are passionate about the game and our chance is to have something to play for down the stretch. So give everything you got to this game. That’s the emotions.”
