The Philadelphia 76ers have made a move to reinforce their frontline, signing versatile forward/center Kenneth Lofton Jr. to a two-way contract, as confirmed by NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski’s tweet.

Lofton, who spent parts of the last two seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies, brings added depth to the Sixers’ roster.

In conjunction with this acquisition, Philadelphia is parting ways with guard Javonte Smart, who is being waived from his two-way deal.

Lofton, a 21-year-old talent, showcased his skills with the Grizzlies earlier this season, contributing an average of 2.6 points and 1 rebound in just 6.6 minutes per game.

Despite his recent release from Memphis, the Sixers see potential in Lofton’s abilities, securing his services on a two-way deal to further fortify their frontcourt options.
