Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s explosive 31-point performance propelled the Oklahoma City Thunder (18-8) to a commanding 134-115 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers (17-11) on Thursday night, putting an end to the Clippers’ nine-game winning streak.

In a pivotal moment during the third quarter, Chet Holmgren’s audacious dunk off the backboard to himself not only showcased his athleticism but also ignited a game-changing 13-0 run for the Thunder, securing their lead for the remainder of the contest.

Holmgren, finishing with an impressive 23 points, and Lu Dort, contributing 21, were key players as the Thunder shot a remarkable 58.6% from the field, securing their fifth win in the last six games.

Despite the Clippers’ James Harden scoring 23 points and Paul George adding 22, the absence of Kawhi Leonard, sidelined with a bruised right hip, seemed to impact the team’s rhythm.

Former Thunder star Russell Westbrook, now with the Clippers, received a warm welcome from the Oklahoma City crowd and contributed 15 points and 13 rebounds coming off the bench.

Despite the triumph, the Thunder faced a setback as guard Josh Giddey exited the game late in the second quarter with a sprained left ankle.
