Spencer Dinwiddie’s 23-point performance and Mikal Bridges’ 22 points guided the Brooklyn Nets (9-8) to a 115-103 victory over the Toronto Raptors (8-10), securing their third consecutive win.
Dinwiddie, part of a quintet with double-figure scoring for the Nets, showcased his offensive prowess alongside Bridges, Cameron Johnson (18 points), Royce O’Neale (18 points), and Nic Claxton (15 points).
Despite the impressive win, the Nets were eliminated from the NBA In-Season Tournament as they needed a victory by at least 15 points and a specific outcome in the Celtics vs. Bulls game to advance.
Toronto, with six players in double-figure scoring, couldn’t withstand the Nets’ offensive assault. Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes contributed 17 points each, while Gary Trent Jr. added 15 off the bench.
The game remained closely contested, with Trent tying the score at 94-all in the fourth quarter. However, crucial plays from Bridges, including a pivotal three-pointer, secured Brooklyn’s victory.
Shorthanded due to injuries, the Nets were without key players Ben Simmons, Cam Thomas, Dennis Smith Jr., and Noah Clowney, but their depth proved effective against the Raptors.
