Stephen Curry got countless unforgettable moments throughout his iconic championship runs with the Golden State Warriors, but his Game 4 masterpiece against the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals just simply sits atop his list.

As he recently guested on WIRED to answer some of the internet’s most searched questions about him, Curry (@ 6:52 mark) noted that his explosion in Game 4 against the C’s last year is his proudest performance in all of his four successful title triumphs.

“Definitely Game 4 of the 2022 Finals. That was a hostile environment and we were down 2-1. We needed to win that to give ourselves some life and I had one of my best games of my career considering the magnitude of that moment for sure.”

Curry’s Game 4 display against Boston was truly a sight to behold.

Facing a 2-1 series edge, the Warriors were desperate to keep themselves alive in their title bout against the Celtics in order to avoid being down to a commanding 3-1 hole.

Knowing that the stakes were high and the amount of pressure they would have to absorb if they get inflicted by another defeat, Curry went unconscious and cemented a signature performance of his life by pouring a massive 43-point scoring outburst over the C’s.

With both Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins (41.2%) shooting uncharacteristically, Curry’s highly efficient 53.8 percent shooting served as the illuminating torch of the Warriors down the line. His 10 fourth-quarter points propelled the Dubs to etch a 28-19 final frame scoring board to ultimately snatch the 107-97 Game 4 victory that silenced the jam-packed TD Garden crowd.

This magnificent act by Curry served as a major momentum boost for Golden State to win the next two games and revive their lost glory. The superstar point man went on to win his fourth NBA championship with the franchise in the last eight years and finally capture that elusive Finals MVP.

With the amount of rest and contemplation that he has made in this significant offseason with the Warriors after failing to defend their title and being eliminated by the Los Angeles Lakers in the previous postseason, there is no doubt that Curry has that flaming fire in him to even surpass this indelible performance he demonstrated against the Celtics en route to winning his fifth ring.
