The Toronto Raptors announced Wednesday they have signed guard Dennis Schroder to a multi-year contract.

Schroder, 6-foot-3, 172 pounds, averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 30.1 minutes in 66 games (50 starts) with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.

He shot .415 (270-650) from the field and .857 (216-252) from the free throw line. Schroder scored in double figures 41 times, led the team in scoring six times, and assists in 12 games.

In the playoffs, he averaged 7.4 points, 2.9 assists, 1.9 rebounds, and 26.1 minutes in 16 games (three starts). 

“Dennis is fierce, he’s creative, and above all, he’s competitive,” Raptors Vice-Chairman and President Masai Ujiri said. “We’re excited to welcome Dennis to Toronto, and are looking forward to seeing him on the Scotiabank Arena court.”
