Zalgiris, the reigning Lithuanian champions, have announced the departure of Tyler Cavanaugh from their team for the upcoming season. The 29-year-old, who joined Zalgiris in 2021, will not be returning to Kaunas.

Cavanaugh played an important role during his time with the team, and the management expressed their gratitude for his contributions. The decision to part ways was made with the aim of bringing about a change that would benefit both the team and the player.

In the recent Betsafe-LKL championship, Cavanaugh showcased his skills, averaging 7.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in 18 minutes of play. In the EuroLeague, he posted averages of 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds.

Reflecting on his time in Lithuania, Cavanaugh expressed his fondness for Kaunas and the memories he created there, including winning the title. He bid farewell to the Zalgiris fans, expressing gratitude for their incredible support.
