In an offseason filled with anticipation, it seems that Kyrie Irving has found his next sneaker sponsor, reportedly signing with Anta (h/t Pat Benson of Sports Illustrated). At his annual summer basketball camp, Irving was seen sporting the Anta Shock Wave Pro 5 basketball shoes, hinting at the new partnership.

Anta, a Chinese sports equipment company established in 1991, already sponsors seven NBA athletes, including Klay Thompson and Gordon Hayward. While an official announcement is yet to be made, Irving teased the upcoming deal on Instagram Live, expressing his excitement and stating that he is about to “blow this out the water.”

Following his split with Nike, prompted by his controversial social media post and comments, Irving was in search of a new sneaker sponsor. Nike canceled the release of his ninth signature sneaker, the Nike Kyrie 8, and cut ties with the guard.
