Former NBA star Jason Richardson thinks that Kobe Bryant is the second best player after Michael Jordan. His realization came during the 2010 Western Conference Finals when Richardson’s Suns faced Bryant’s Lakers.

“It was a great matchup, they had Kobe and Pau Gasol, they were championship experienced and we weren’t,” Richardson said, via Sunni Upal of The Sun. “They had one of the greatest players to ever play the game in Kobe Bryant and it was just a battle.

“That’s when I realised Kobe was the second best player in the world ever in my opinion. In game six he went to a whole new level and we couldn’t do anything with him.”

The Lakers won the conference finals against the Suns and went on to the championship against the Celtics.
