Devin Booker on his dominant performance in Game 3

The Suns took a 2-1 lead in the first-round series against the Clippers with a win in Los Angeles. Devin Booker led Phoenix with game-high 45 points.

Despite missing Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers, led by Norman Powell (42 points) and Russell Westbrook (30) mounted a challenge to the visitors (129-124).

“Just win at all cost. That’s our motto,” Booker said after the game. “We don’t want to give any games away. Even though they’re undermanned today, we know those guys are still going to bring it. We had to come with a hit-first mindset. We just weathered the storm throughout the whole game.”

“I’m just put in the right situations,” the Suns star said when asked about his performance in Game 3. “We have KD. We have Chris Paul. Those guys attract a lot of attention and it opens up spots for me. Coach does a good job of putting us in situations where we can succeed and that’s what we’ve been doing.”
